y dd u keep those gay rims?
my grandpa has a white 66 convertible. 289 4 speed. im into mustangs alot. its got white paint, white interior and a black top. its sittin outside completely encased in a bush right now. he talks about sellin it or building it. but hes got too many old cars layin around and he won't get to it. my dads got a 26k original mile 67 coupe with a 289 and a c4. "A" title hasnt moved in 18 years. hasnt started since 2002. the 67's defanitely fixable. its not that bad but the 66 is pretty far gone
how much did that cost?
this is just amazing. men can do anything!
Inspect with a light under the dash, look for rust there. Run water into the cowl and look under the dash for leaks. This was a very common problem, water on your feet is no fun.
on second thought after reading up on this cowl problem, maybe I do want one that's been restored, except without disassembling, how can you tell if the restorer did this cowl work?
what is the cowl? I'm thinking of buying a convertible from those early years, but not sure what year was the best from 64-67, and I don't want one that is completely restored to showroom, just one that is rust free, straight body, V6 with manual transmission and decent interior. They're around, but at this point I'm just trying to learn about what to look for. I want the soul car, not the show car.
Thanks, I see you have done a lot of work on your Mustang too. Melissa did a great job editing, I like the song by Metallica... perfect!
Sweet ride you have done a awsome resto
